Rafa Mir Deal Shrouded In Doubt

+

Per soccer pundit Sam Preston, Atleti's talks with Wolves have ground into a standstill. Rafa Mir has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Spanish giants, and Wolves are said to be keen on their 21-million-euro payday. However, anything can happen if talks don't continue fast enough. Atleti must continue the talks before Wolves and Rafa Mir change their minds on the deal. Although the deal would benefit all parties, anything could happen.

Atletico Madrid Femenino To Open Season Against Rayo

+

After a disappointing finish to the 20/21 season, Atleti will look to win the Primera Division and take back their UEFA Women's Champion League spot. Their season will start around a month after the mens': September 5, to be exact. Their opponent will be Madrid-based rivals Rayo Vallecano Femenino. Atleti Offer Fiorentina Around 59M Euros For Dusan Vlahovic

+

Fiorentina wunderkind Dusan Vlahovic may land a move to Madrid soon after Atleti's "juicy" offer. Atleti offered Fiorentina around 59 million euros, which Fiorentina wants for the player. An integral part of Fiorentina's latest season, Vlahovic knocked in 21 goals and assisted three others. However, it wasn't enough to rescue Fiorentina from an average season. Their obstacles will be the stiff competition from Tottenham and Fiorentina's hardball attitude. But it's tough to imagine Vlahovic wanting to stay at Fiorentina, a middling club, and not wanting to play for Los Colchoneros, one of the best clubs in Europe.

Phew! Manchester United End Interest In Trippier Due To 34M Price Tag

+

After weeks of pursuing English fullback Kieran Trippier, the former Tottenham player will not get the"dream move" he so desires. Diogo Dalot's impressive form during the preseason has won Ole over, and so they won't need another talented fullback in their ranks. Perhaps, if the master negotiators at the Wanda Metropolitano didn't keep their hardball stance, we would still need to pursue another fullback. The Trippier crisis, however, hasn't ended yet. Although Trippier might not secure the move to Old Trafford that he wants, there is still interest from Arsenal and Liverpool. There are only 21 more days the English transfer window closes, meaning that in three weeks, Trippier will have either landed a move back to England or has stayed with Los Rojiblancos.

Atleti Lead Tottenham and Arsenal In Race For Dusan Vlahovic

+

Carrying on with the search for a number 9, Atleti is sniffing around Fiorentina center-forward Dusan Vlahovic. The Serb logged an eye-opening 21 goals and 3 assists. Valued at 40 million euros, the twenty-one-year-old isn't a cheap signing. However, with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2023, the price may get talked down a little bit. Arsenal and Tottenham will not be able to give Vlahovic the Champions League experience every player will want. This will give Atleti a little boost in negotiations. Keep your eyes set on the Vlahovic-Atleti saga. Hopefully, we can get him in red and white!

Atletico Make An Offer For Leo Messi

+

An interesting tidbit for today: even though Lionel Messi probably won't accept it, Atleti have shot their shot and offered Messi a contract. In the market for a forward, Atleti is on the verge of completing a Rafa Mir deal for around 10M euros. However, with Messi, Atleti would only need Mir for depth, if at all.

Atletico Madrid B's Fixtures Released

+

There have been lots of young stars to come out of Atletico Madrid's B Team. Most recently, you might think of Giuliano Simeone, Sergio Camello, and Ricard Sanchez. Now the reserve squad will mold new players that can, hopefully, make their way into the first team. Spain's fifth tier is divided into eighteen groups, depending on their location. Atleti, who plays in the Madrid-based group, will kick off their season with a home game against Parla on September 5. Their next five games after their inaugural game will be: Ursaria (Away on Sep 12) Trival Valderas(Home on Sep 15) Villaverde San Andres(Away on Sep 19) Villaviciosa(Away on Oct 3) Moratalaz(Home on Oct 10) Aupa Atleti!

In Final Friendly, Atleti Fields Most Competitive Team Yet, Plus Spanish Phenom

+

Simeone will field goalkeeper Jan Oblak to boot. His back three from left to right are Mario Hermoso, Jose Maria Gimenez, and Nehuen Perez. The four midfielders are Saul Niguez, Rodrigo de Paul, Koke, and Yannick Carrasco from left to right. Just ahead of them, Thomas Lemar and Marcos Llorente will dazzle. On the front line, Giuliano Simeone will try to impress and secure first-team action with Atleti. Aupa Atleti!

Diogo Dalot, Kieran Trippier's Fates Aligned

+

Diogo Dalot will need to leave to make room for Kieran Trippier, GolazoGoal reports. Dalot is one of the only things keeping Trippier in Spain, and if Dalot leaves, a Trippier-Manchester United move looks likely. Dalot's top suitor is AC Milan. Keep your eyes on the Dalot saga, as it very well could impact Atleti's 21/22 season and Kieran Trippier's season as well.

Rafa Mir Millimeters Away From Move To Atleti

+

Wolves ace and Spanish talisman Rafa Mir has been extensively linked with reigning Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. Trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano says that the move is in its latter stages and that Mir has already agreed with personal terms. We could see a deal go through for around 10 million euros, as Mir is in his final contract year. While Atleti's number nine woes seemingly have been solved, Barcelona will not only rival Atleti for Mir but Man City wantaway star Bernardo Silva as well. Keep an eye out for both of these transfer sagas.
