Grbić

Osasuna had spurts of possession where they looked mildly dangerous, but their chances didn’t give much of a threat for the keeper. Grbić was comfortable on the ball and ended the match with a clean sheet. 5.5

Molina

Was kept busy on the righthand side against the likes of Manu Sánchez and Aimar Oroz. Couldn’t press up the pitch and send in many crosses like he usually likes to do. 4.5

Witsel

Continued his run of starts in the backline, where the Belgian complemented Giménez well and kept up positionally. The defender ended the match with two interceptions, three clearances, and four headers won. 5

Giménez

Moved the ball well with a mix of short and long passes. The collective defensive effort from Atlético Madrid made the Uruguayan’s 90 minutes relatively simple. 5

Hermoso

His attempts to dribble into space forced Osasuna to drag a man towards the ball, creating space up the pitch, which Hermoso looked to exploit when in possession. Defensively, his four clearances relieved some pressure and started counters. 6

Carrasco

Looked locked in early on, taking a lot of touches and sparking Atlético to life on the left side. Hugged Osasuna’s backline throughout the game as he looked to be a frequent option out wide. In the 44th minute, Carrasco’s run found him open for an easy finish to open the scoring. 7

Koke

Played his now-typical role as the holding midfielder and distributor, completing 93 percent of his 69 passes. Defensively, Koke looked to trigger the collective press and win back possession. 5

De Paul

Two assists on the day. Heavily involved in facilitating the attack with late runs toward the penalty area, as well as decisive and intelligent passes. His first assist came from a quick ball to a sprinting Saúl Ñíguez, and his second was a well-placed through ball to Ángel Correa. 8

Saúl

A surprise start for Saúl, his first for three months, and made Diego Simeone look really, really smart. Just before halftime, Saúl gave a deft through ball to Antoine Griezmann that led to Yannick Carrasco’s goal. Two minutes after the hour, a darting run found him with space on goal, where he chested the ball down and beat Sergio Herrera with a right-footed volley to double the lead. 8

Griezmann

Added another assist to his season tally with a decisive final pass across the face of goal to Carrasco in the 44th minute. The Frenchman caused problems throughout for Osasuna’s backline, as he dropped into open space and drove right at defenders. He hit the post early in the game and keyed the move that culminated in Correa’s goal. 7

Morata

The Spaniard had the ball in the net twice in the first 15 minutes, but he was offside in both instances. Floated into spaces on both flanks to find the ball. With his back to goal, the striker was able to start the move for Carrasco’s goal, but he took an elbow to the head from David García while going for the ball in the air. Correa replaced him just after halftime. 5

Correa

His movement off the ball gave him time and space on goal in the 82nd minute, where the striker hit a first-time, swerving finish into the bottom right corner of the goal. 7

Barrios

Replaced Koke with five minutes to go. Had a bullet header that forced Sergio Herrera to make a save. 5

Kondogbia

Didn’t have much time to make an impact on the game. His Atlético career is almost certainly winding down. N/A

Reguilón

Could not do much in his limited time after replacing Carrasco in the 85th minute. N/A

Carlos Martín

Subbed on for Griezmann in the 90th minute. Although he only saw a few minutes, this is the second game in a row where the 21-year-old got some time on the pitch. N/A
