Simeone is already the coach who has directed us the most throughout history!

Starting XI:
Oblak
Conceded in the first half from an open Youssef En-Nesyri. Hard to fault the keeper fully, as the striker was unmarked and put the ball in from a few yards out. Had nothing to do otherwise. 4
Carrasco
Hugging the touchline out wide, Carrasco aimed to add some attacking flair on the left and looked inspired to end his goal drought. The Belgian took some players one-on-one but missed more than one opportunity to send in a cross. He found himself unmarked and in the right position to score in the 69th minute, putting Atlético Madrid’s fourth goal on the board. 7

Hermoso
Distributed the ball effectively, frequently connecting with Yannick Carrasco and Thomas Lemar. His positioning was lackluster on Sevilla’s goal, as En-Nesyri had far too much space to work with. 5
Giménez
Did his best to cover for the wayward Stefan Savić on Pape Gueye, forcing him into a difficult cross that En-Nesyri converted in the 39th minute. The defender picked up a yellow card minutes later, but he made some important clearances throughout on the rare occasions Sevilla threatened. 4
Savić
Frequently was the first defender to jut out and add pressure to Sevilla’s forwards receiving the ball. Made a sloppy pass in the 60th minute leading to a good chance for Lucas Ocampos, but he missed. 4

Llorente
Playing as the right wing-back, Llorente found himself in dangerous positions and notched an assist for Memphis on the Dutchman’s spectacular second goal. Defensively, he tracked back well, but gave away a penalty for a subtle shove on Pape Gueye. Ivan Rakitić missed the spot kick, though. 5.5
Lemar
Passed with 100 percent accuracy and helped build the attack from the back. The Frenchman’s ball movement allowed Atlético to progress the ball into the final third, and he resisted pressure extremely well. 5.5
Witsel
Failed to drop back fully on Sevilla’s goal, giving a clear lane for Gueye to move into. Offensively, Witsel made simple but effective passes, continually looking to break lines toward the forwards. 4.5
Koke
A strong performance from the captain, whose anticipation and positioning set up the counterattack that culminated in Atlético’s opening goal. He also assisted Antoine Griezmann’s stunning long-range goal early in the second half. 7

Memphis
Opened the floodgates with two goals midway through the first half. On 23 minutes, he slotted the ball calmly past Yassine Bounou 1v1. Four minutes later, he cut onto his right foot and sent his second goal into the top corner from just outside the penalty area. 8
Griezmann
Assisted Memphis’s first goal on the night with a perfectly-weighted ball to his former FC Barcelona teammate. In the 53rd minute, Griezmann scored a worldie of his own with a long shot into the top left corner. The pink-haired striker floated (what should have been counted as) his second assist of the night into Álvaro Morata, who walked the ball into the net on 76 minutes. 8.5

Subs:
Barrios
Replaced Lemar in the 64th minute in a like-for-like change. He registered his first assist with a slick pass to Carrasco at the back post. 6.5
Morata
Scored twice late on after replacing Memphis. The Spaniard picked up his own rebound to make the score 5-1, then added his second goal after Sevilla went to sleep at the back deep into stoppage time. 8
Doherty
The Irishman made his debut and added fresh legs to the Atlético defense. 5
Saúl
Floated up and down the field after coming on for Koke, adding an extra option in some of the last-minute attacks. 5
Carlos Martín
The 20-year-old forward couldn’t make much of an impact after replacing Carrasco in the 86th minute. N/A
