Oblak
Nothing he could do about the Mario Hermoso own goal seven minutes in — the shot from Ayase Ueda took a big deflection off Hermoso and found its way over the line. Oblak got down well to slap away a long-range effort from Igor Paixão but couldn’t keep out Dávid Hancko on 34 minutes, the center-back finishing his own rebound. Caught every corner swung toward him, made two huge stops on substitute Yankuba Minteh to preserve Atletico Madrid’s lead. 7
Molina
Not a great first half, Paixão had him in hell defensively — but for the second consecutive game, Molina saved his best for the second 45 minutes. The World Cup-winning wing-back delivered an exceptional cross for Álvaro Morata to deposit into the net on 47 minutes, warranting a big hug from Diego Simeone. 6.5
Azpilicueta
Was doubtful to play Wednesday but got the nod even after he picked up a knock to his left leg on Sunday. Unnecessary shove on Ueda led to the free kick that restored Feyenoord’s lead in the first half — his only real mistake. Azpilicueta cleaned up messes in behind, read play superbly, and shielded speedy attackers from the ball numerous times. 6.5

Witsel
Made his third consecutive start as Atlético’s options in defense have been whittled down to bare bones. Caught out on the Feyenoord opener, his lack of pace exposed once again. Recovered well enough after that, continued to pass the ball crisply (96 percent), but the 34-year-old is among Simeone’s worst options against a high-octane opponent like this — see the way Minteh easily overpowered him 20 minutes from time, on the way to coaxing a world-class save out of Oblak. 5
Hermoso
Another awful night in the Champions League. Unfortunate deflection for the first goal as he slid to block Ueda’s shot but the ball rolled in off the defender’s leg. Played Hancko onside as he scored Feyenoord’s second. Gifted Minteh a chance at the very end for good measure. —
Lino
Back into the 11 after Sunday’s decisive cameo appearance. Impressive on the ball again, but a poor first-half giveaway near the halfway line gave midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki the time and space to try and chip Oblak. Later, a pinball cross in the penalty area created the chaos necessary for Antoine Griezmann to equalize at the end of the first half. Removed after picking up a yellow in the second half. 5.5
Koke
Tried his best to hold the midfield together, ended up directing traffic — but did a decent enough job keeping the midfield and defensive lines compact in the second half. 5.5
De Paul
Made his first start since the 7-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Aug. 28. Played the diagonal through ball that was cleared into Morata’s path for Atlético’s first-half equalizer. Was played through a bit too easily and misplaced passes he usually doesn’t have trouble placing. 5

Saúl
Bounced a shot off the post from an over-the-shoulder Griezmann cross as the game opened up midway through the first half. Picked up a yellow for a bad foul on Lutsharel Geertruida but toed the line expertly after halftime, digging in for five clearances as, practically, an additional center-back. 7.5
Griezmann
Atlético’s all-time top scorer in the Champions League added to his ledger with an acrobatic finish in first-half stoppage time to level the scores. On his 350th appearance for the club, Griezmann nearly recreated his famous goal against Roma from the 2017 group stage, tucking an overhead kick under Timon Wellenreuther’s crossbar as he went to ground. 8

Morata
Back in the team after missing Sunday’s game through suspension. Decision paid off quickly, as the Spaniard equalized on 12 minutes with a sharp left-footed finish, the ball cleared into his path by midfielder Mats Wieffer. Scored again two minutes into the second half, sliding from close range to gently turn in Molina’s cross with his left foot. Demonstrated enviable work rate and commitment to the cause throughout. 9
Llorente
Entered for de Paul at halftime. Simeone tried out his best athlete against the Feyenoord high line, thinking he would stretch it in a way de Paul did not. Didn’t really work, although the connection with Molina was better than on Sunday. 5

Gálan
Entered for Lino in the 62nd minute. Big test for the left-back, and he just about passed. Galán may not have offered much in attack, but he won a handful of duels and came up with three tackles as well as two interceptions. 5.5
Correa
Entered for Griezmann in the 79th minute. Tried to twist himself out of trouble a couple times but was quickly crowded out under Feyenoord pressure. N/A
Riquelme
Entered for Molina in the 79th minute. Played as an interior midfielder on the left, was able to spring free into space a couple times but his touch let him down. N/A
Kostis
Entered for Morata in the 93rd minute, making his first-team debut. The highly-regarded Atlético B center-back was brought on to see out the three points. N/A
