Oblak

Atlético Madrid’s vice-captain didn’t have his finest night. He looked uncertain coming out on Levante’s first-half set-piece deliveries and nearly let in the opener midway through the half after a scramble in the six-yard box. But Mohamed Bouldini fouled Oblak before the ball crossed the line from Álex Muñoz’s shot, and the veteran shot-stopper grabbed Bouldini’s point-blank header 20 minutes from time. 5.5

Molina

Mostly a quiet game for the FIFA World Cup winner, but he played a cool through ball for Marcos Llorente to assist the Spaniard’s 91st-minute strike. 7

Savić

Battling display, as can be expected from the 32-year-old making his return from suspension. Made an important pass block and lay-off for Ángel Correa ahead of Atlético’s opening goal and nearly gave it back after Bouldini outmuscled him for that close-range header. 6

Hermoso

Too busy claiming offside on the Muñoz disallowed goal to actually uphold his defensive responsibilities from the corner. Does not transmit confidence in a 4-4-2 and his partnership with Stefan Savić is uneasy, to say the least. But to be fair to him, Hermoso has put in consecutive competent games in the heart of defense. Levante goalkeeper Joan Femenías made an excellent save from his goal-bound header late on. 6

Reinildo

Strong defensive first half, even showed some offensive ambition at left back. Atlético needed the Mozambican’s physical prowess on the flank at the Ciutat de València — and he delivered, getting better as the game moved along. 8

De Paul

Back in the team for the first time since November. Started poorly with some wayward passing and cheap ball losses. The World Cup winner was only really able to influence the game when Atlético pressed high or counterattacked; the team collectively improved in this respect after halftime. 5

Kondogbia

Very adventurous positionally in the first half, which destabilized Atlético’s midfield. Cleaned up in the second half and made a few choice tackles to solidify the middle of the pitch. 6

Llorente

A different player when freed from defensive responsibility. Assisted Álvaro Morata’s 53rd-minute goal with his favored quick-fire cross to the back post. Got himself a goal in the 91st minute with a sprint into the penalty area and a clean right-footed finish. On fire. 9

Barrios

The only Atlético player who looked like embracing the moment and taking the game to the hosts during an atrocious first half. Did not shine defensively, but at 19 years old, the playmaking midfielder shouldn’t be expected to. 5.5

Griezmann

Moved all around the final third in the first half looking to set up scoring opportunities, but Atlético never had enough runners into the penalty area. The Frenchman is doing practically everything he can for the team except scoring goals — he has now gone 18 consecutive games for club and country without finding the back of the net. 5.5

Morata

Strayed offside multiple times in the first half and dissented at practically every refereeing decision. Picked himself up though to fire Atleti into the lead early in the second half, slotting the ball past Femenías at the far post after great work from Llorente and Correa in the buildup. 6.5

Correa

Replaced Barrios at halftime. Made an immediate impact through his dribbling and movement, and he nabbed himself a hockey assist on Morata’s goal. Forced Femenías into a flying save with 10 minutes left on the clock. 8

Saúl

Replaced Morata in the 64th minute. Good opportunity for him to get some minutes in the center of the park. Dropped into defense when necessary and made some important clearances. 5.5

Koke

Replaced de Paul in the 78th minute. The captain restored calm and composure to the Atlético midfield as Levante turned up the heat. 6
