It is little surprise that their LaLiga success this season has seen Atletico Madrid players become the subject of transfer speculation, with the club already reportedly rejecting an offer for one of their stars.
Manchester United are said to be keen on signing right back Kieran Trippier, who played a major role in Atletico’s title success. The England international is currently with his nation and preparing for their first match against Croatia in the European Championship on Sunday.

A report from Football Insider, corroborated by Caught Offside, claims United have launched an opening approach for the player with a bid in the region of £10m has been – although Los Rojiblancos are said to have rejected this.
Several reports claim that Trippier is looking for a wage increase at Atlético, but the current financial conditions at the club means it is quite unlikely that he will be given a pay raise.

Atlético will only sell the Englishman if any club matches his €40m release clause, and considering that along with his age (31), United may look elsewhere as Trippier wouldn’t be a first choice at Old Trafford.
Currently, Trippier has a contract in Madrid until 2023.
