Starting XI
Oblak
Dealt with Osasuna’s attacks well. Had a save before the half when the keeper stretched out fully to deny a long-range effort from Lucas Torró ,and another in the dying minutes on Roberto Torres. Other than his shot-stopping, Oblak was consistently ready to come out and deal with crosses when needed. —8
Hermoso
Worked well on the left-hand side, especially with his passing between the lines. The defender knew when to try a long ball forward or keep the distribution short and sweet. Hermoso didn't have a whole lot to deal with defensively, but played it safe and cleared the ball well when Osasuna tried to put pressure on him. —7.5
Felipe
Had a relatively quiet game until the 87th minute. Off a Yannick Carrasco corner, the center-back rose above the Osasuna defense to get his head on the ball and direct it into the goal, giving Atlético Madrid the lead and securing three points for the team. The defender celebrated his goal with an acrobatic flip. Much-needed moment for him. —8

Savić
Was aggressive defensively, which led to one or two sloppy interventions, but the Montenegrin made up for it with his clearances and no-nonsense attitude. —6.5
Vrsaljko
Took advantage of his opportunity, even after receiving a hard hit to the face late in the first half. Vrsaljko moved up the field and made himself available for a pass out wide. He attempted 10 crosses caused trouble for the visitors’ backline. —7.5
Lemar
Connected well with Hermoso on the left side early on in the match. As time went on, the Frenchman faded, sending in searching crosses and misplacing a few passes. —6.5
Llorente
Seemed passive in the opening minutes of the match, but became more aggressive as the game progressed. His usual antics and runs in the final third created some promising moments for the team. —7
Koke
The captain did what he does best, dictating the tempo through his ball movement. His passing out wide and balls over the top (92 percent accuracy in all) helped keep possession and balance. —7.5
Carrasco
Although the Belgian wasn't able to take on as many players on as he usually does, he worked hard on the either side of the field and finished up with five key passes. He created a solid chance out of nothing late in the second half with some flashy dribbling in the box. It was his corner delivery that resulted in the winning goal. — 7.5
Griezmann
Extremely active in his off-ball movement, making sleek runs between the Osasuna defenders and dropping back to receive the ball. His efforts led to multiple shots for the striker, though none on target. —7

Correa
Won some free kicks for the team, but failed to get into the game as much as he usually does. The visitors’ compact, physical defending halted him. He was subbed off in the second half for Luis Suárez. —6
Subs:
Suárez
Came on in the 65th minute, attempting to prompt a winning goal. But Suárez was not able to make much of an impact while on the pitch. —5
De Paul
Subbed on for Lemar. Similar to Suárez, he could not make a mark in his 25-plus minutes on the field. —5
Cunha
Replaced Griezmann in the 75th minute. The Brazilian had limited touches, but was able to attempt one shot while on the pitch. —5.5
Kondogbia
Worked hard to keep possession and offer stability when the colchoneros began to dominate the ball in the second half. —5.5
Carlos Martín
The 19-year-old attacker came on for Vrsaljko in the 85th minute. With his first touches on the ball, he successfully took a player on and sent a searching ball in the box. He won the corner that resulted in the winning goal, and his aggressiveness was a highlight. —5.5
