Atlético Madrid are on a bit of a late season roll and will look for a fourth straight win on Saturday against Real Valladolid.

Relegation-threatened Valladolid have LaLiga’s worst attack (29 goals from 34 games), it’s been a decade since they won this fixture and have only one win away since December. Sergio Soriano’s side are just a point clear of the drop but beat 18th-placed Girona last time out.

Atlético won a thrilling midweek encounter with Valencia on Wednesday, and the shackles have been loosened on Simeone’s attackers — Thomas Lemar has a goal and an assist in the past week, for example. Antoine Griezmann netted his 15th league goal in midweek and scored a brace in December’s reverse fixture. Atleti are also 7-1-1 this season against LaLiga’s bottom five.

Possible XI

Oblak; Arias, Savić, Godín, Saúl; Rodri, Koke, Correa, Lemar; Griezmann, Morata.

Predicted scoreline

Atlético 2-0 Valladolid.
