Atlético Madrid are back in Andalusia for the second time in four weeks as they pay a visit to Real Betis on Sunday afternoon.

Atlético took the reverse 1-0 on Oct. 7 as Ángel Correa scored the lone goal in the 74th minute. It’s been a common theme in Betis games — the chances are few, the goals are even fewer. Quique Setién’s team loves to have the ball but have failed to score in one-third of their 21 league games this season. Meanwhile, Atleti have LaLiga’s best defense once more and will attempt to keep pace with Barcelona, who have a tricky fixture against Valencia on Saturday.

Diego Simeone appears to have a clear idea of his team will look when they take to the Benito Villamarín pitch. Diego Godín’s absence will mean Lucas moves into central defense and Juanfran returns to left back, where he has succeeded recently. Ángel Correa will return from suspension and start wide, while Saúl is a game-time decision. Finally, former canterano Álvaro Morata is expected to start in his first Atlético appearance alongside Antoine Griezmann.

Possible XI

Oblak; Arias, Giménez, Lucas, Juanfran; Thomas P, Rodri, Correa, Lemar; Griezmann, Morata.

Predicted scoreline

Betis 1-1 Atlético.
