Second hosts fifth on Sunday night, when Atlético Madrid will welcome Real Betis to the Wanda Metropolitano for the first time.
With the title due to be wrapped up by next weekend at the latest, all that’s left to determine is where everyone else finishes. While Betis are too far off the pace for a Champions League place, their sterling form — six straight wins with five clean sheets — has them on the precipice of securing a place in the Europa League for next season.
This season’s Europa League semifinalist, meanwhile, is in need of a bounceback following Thursday’s 3-0 trouncing at Real Sociedad. Atlético can go six points clear of third-place Real Madrid with a win against Quique Setién’s men, and they will also move one step closer to an unbeaten season at home in LaLiga.

Diego Simeone confirmed Saturday that Diego Costa (hamstring) will not return to the team for at least another week, a big blow to a striking corps in need of some punch. Lucas Hernández (facial injury) is back in the squad after he missed Thursday’s loss. Simeone has no further injuries (for now) or player suspensions to deal with otherwise.
Possible XI
Oblak; Vrsaljko, Savić, Godín, Lucas; Gabi, Saúl, Koke, Correa; Griezmann, Torres.
Predicted scoreline
Atlético Madrid 0-0 Real Betis.
