The latest on Paulo Dybala to Atlético: Did they even have dinner together?

Even THAT might not be true

Diego Simeone and Paolo Dybala reportedly broke bread together on Monday in Kabuki, a sushi restaurant in Madrid. Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri is unperturbed by the reports and joked, “I hope Cholo paid” when he was asked of the meeting.

According to Marca, Atlético Madrid have denied reports that they have been in contact with the Argentine or the Serie A side. They report that Simeone and Dybala did meet in the restaurant but that it was just a chat about football after a chance encounter.

Reports of a deal being already agreed for the player suggest it could be worth up to €150 million with Stefan Savic thrown in to sweeten the deal.

Mundo Deportivo also report that he is “neither a target for Atlético and no agreement is in place” as the club have relayed to the newspaper. The report suggests that keeping Antoine Griezmann is the main objective of the club and they haven’t had talks with Dybala or his representatives. They also report that the two did dine at the same restaurant but at different tables and they also say that it was an Argentine restaurant.

We don’t know what to believe but if Griezmann gets as much as a sniff of talks with other players, it could take his eye off the ball for the rest of the season, with reports suggesting he is already very close to a deal with Barcelona, if not already there.
