Antoine Griezmann has told L’Equipe that whether he stays or goes this summer, his future will be decided before the World Cup.
The player has been linked heavily with a move to Barcelona with some reports suggesting he has already signed a pre-contract with the club.
Atlético Madrid have not given up hope of convincing him to stay, however, and will offer him a contract renewal that will pay him €20 million per year net.
Griezmann told L’Equipe, “I want to win the World Cup or a Champions League. After, the Balon d’Or will come if I do that. I am a club player, I prefer to win something with my club or country rather than an individual award. For example, the trophy for top goalscorer in the Euros, I liked”.
