Atlético Madrid and Juventus have played just twice in their respective histories and the Spanish side have not lost either of those games. It was only back in 2014/15 when that two-legged group stage clash took place with Arda Turan scoring in the home tie to give Simeone’s side a 1-0 win. They drew the earlier encounter in that group in Turin.
What to expect?
Statsbomb have compiled the stats so you don’t have to. They say it will be a fairly defensive affair as you might expect. Despite Juventus’ massive summer outlay to bring in Cristiano Ronaldo, they have still been heavily reliant on their defence.

When are the games on?
The first leg will be played at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on February 20 at 21:00 CET with the return leg two weeks later on the March 12 at 21:00.
Juventus have played 16 in Serie A and drawn just one of them with the other 15 games resulting in wins. That is a truly incredible first half to their year. They have come undone against Manchester United and Young Boys at home and away in the Champions League though, which might be a cause for concern, and at the very least proves they are beatable.
Atlético, on the other hand, have a better record in Europe with one draw, a loss and four wins. They also have just one loss in LaLiga but have seven draws too.
