Personally, I think these are exactly what you want in a third kit—eye catching, unique, just a bit over the top. Super fly.
The kits and similarly-styled warmup gear will be available for sale today. You can check out the warmup gear in the clip below.
Tomorrow we play in the @ChampionsLeague!

- Sevilla have served Atleti and others over Vitolo’s transfer
Sevilla have decided to move forward with legal action against Atlético, Las Palmas and Vitolo over the series of events that led to the Spanish winger’s departure from the Andalusian club.
Sevilla claim the player triggered his buyout clause in July, despite a previous agreement to extend his contract. This essentially amounts to a breach of contract claim, and Atlético are involved since they fronted the money for the player to do so.
A notable wrinkle in this situation is the involvement of Las Palmas, to whom Atleti “loaned” the player until their registration ban is lifted in January. I use quotes here since Atleti are technically not allowed to loan players while under the registration ban. It will be interesting to see if this action by Sevilla brings any scrutiny from the powers that be onto Atleti’s loaning practices while under the ban.
- Some interesting sound bites from Filipe Luís
In an interview with Spanish magazine Panenka, Atlético left back Filipe Luís rattled off a number of interesting sound bites, but perhaps most notable was his suggestion that our cross town rival’s global superstar may not have deserved his most recent Ballon d’Or:
“Cristiano didn't do anything until the last two months of the season".
Shots. Fired.
- Talking Point:
What do you think of the third kit now that it’s official? Will you be placing an order? Or will you wait to see what they come up with next season?
