Keidi Bare arrived at Atlético Madrid in 2013 at just 14 years old. On Wednesday night, he arrived on time to head home his first Atlético goal in the Audi Cup final against Liverpool and is set for an exciting year if the preseason is anything to go by.

“I am proud to have scored my first goal with the team, in a tournament like this and in the final but the most important thing is the work we put in as a team,” the 19-year-old midfielder said. “To play alongside players at this level helps with your game and is a big help.

“I am very appreciative to SImeone for the opportunity, but I have to be clear to continue working hard with Atlético Madrid B and to always be prepared when the manager needs me,” Keidi said.

The Albanian could be lining himself up for more chances in the coming season following his impressive preseason.
