Diego Costa really, really wants a move back to Atlético Madrid. So much so that he took it to Instagram Live and was seen dancing and filming a street party in his native Brazil - with an Atlético jersey on. He is currently in his hometown of Lagarto, having not travelled to Asia with Chelsea. The Premier League champions are still searching for a new number nine, and it seems Costa’s days at the club are done.

According to Manu Sainz from AS, Costa is going to become an Atlético player soon. The jersey he is wearing in the video is outdated, but it harkens back to his finest season at Atleti - the 2013-14 league title campaign. It is the latest signal that he will join back up with Diego Simeone three years after last playing for los rojiblancos.
Costa was told via text message that he was no longer in Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s plans and the next night, when Spain played a friendly and Costa was in the mixed zone, he revealed to the world how he had been treated. From that point, when Costa said he was “on the market,” he has ensured that his departure is going to be only one place, and it will be on his terms.
The latest video ensures there is no way back for him at Chelsea and while he may have to wait until January to play, that won’t be a problem as he is exactly where he wants to be.
