Theo Hernandez has completed his medical behind closed doors with Real Madrid and will move in the summer, barring any major surprises, according to multiple media reports. The €24 million release clause will be paid at the end of the season.
He completed the medical at Sanitas de La Moraleja clinic and, as reports suggest, this will break any agreement that the two clubs have over not singing each others players.
The left-back is on loan at Alaves where he scored his first goal on Sunday and it comes at a particularly difficult time for Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid as they face a monumental task to overcome a 3-0 deficit from the first leg in the Champions League on Wednesday night’s second leg semi-final.
Hernandez was reportedly upset at being forced to play with Atletico Madrid B team last season in the tercera division and was sent on loan this season. He will be arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu to back-up Marcelo, who is come off his best season at the club.
