Kevin Gameiro and Javier Hernandez have seven goals in their last three games combined as Atletico travel to Germany

Jan Oblak is back! Sadly, Diego Godin remains sidelined and Lucas Hernandez is up in court for a domestic abuse charge on the same day as the game. That has not stopped the French defender being named in Diego Simeone’s squad, however, as Atletico look to go to Germany on Tuesday, not concede and hopefully bag a goal or two in the process.

Kevin Gameiro is in good form, having bagged the second quickest hat-trick in the history of LaLiga at the weekend against Sporting Gijon. Sadly, Javier Hernandez, who has knocked Atletico Madrid out during his time with Real Madrid two years ago, is in good form too. He scored four goals in his last two games for Bayer.

Bayer are without their centre-half, most likely, in Jonathan Tah with a muscular injury and Gameiro and Griezmann will look to take advantage of that. Another question mark hangs over Simeone’s midfield selection and whether he plays Carrasco (most likely) or opts for a more compact centre with four natural central players.

Location: BayArena, Leverkusen, Germany

Kick-off time: 19:45 PM GMT/BST, 13:45 Eastern, 10:45 Pacific
