Atlético Madrid have signed Lautaro Martínez from Racing Club in Argentina and the striker will join up with his new team in July, remaining at his current club on loan until the end of the current Spanish season.
The deal will cost Atlético in the region of €12-15 million and he will sign for six years after he passed a medical with the club in Argentina on Tuesday. Andrea Berta travelled to South America to wrap up the signing of a player Atlético have chased for quite some time.
According to AS, they will pay over the odds for the player as they wanted to force through the deal and stave off competition elsewhere for the striker. The 20-year-old has played five games and scored three goals so far this season and is being hyped as the real deal.
According to widespread reports Lautaro Martínez has undergone a medical and agreed a six-year contract with Atletico Madrid, subject to the club striking a deal with Racing. Fee is expected to be around 12-13m euros, an absolute steal for Atleti.

12 million?? This kid has been on every "top talents from South America" list for the last 18 months! Have to admit I haven't seen much live footage but the few SA scouts/fans I know all love him
