Atletico Madrid may not be done spending just yet, as Enrique Cerezo stated in recent weeks, as reports have emerged from Brazil that they have tabled a €25 million offer for Gabigol.

The reports suggest that they will do battle with Leicester City over the player with Inter Milan also interested in the player’s services.

Santos have denied any knowledge of an offer but have admitted that they have discussed future projects with Atletico Madrid.

The 19-year-old is from the same club as Neymar and further reports have suggested that Barcelona have first refusal on the player and are obviously still in the market for a fourth attacker. It might be a perfect blend of youth and potential to sign Gabigol to sit behind Messi, Suarez and Neymar until he is ready.

The young attacker plays predominantly on the right wing but can play across the entire attacking front. He has scored five goals in ten appearances for the club this season and is currently in Rio on duty with Brazil at the Olympics.
