Official: A complete list of Atletico Madrid’s fixtures 2016-17

Atletico pushed Barcelona and Real Madrid close last season but their attempts to win back their Liga crown was not successful and losses to Levante and, more importantly, Sporting Gijon were two results that could have changed everything.

But, just like life, football moves on and we are not facing into another season with Atletico looking to remain competitive domestically and in Europe.

The signings of Sime Vrsaljko, Nicolas Gaitan and Diogo Jota means Cholo’s squad has improved and while they struggled last year to score goals, that is something Atleti are trying to figure out as they remain in the search for a striker.
