Atletico Madrid have announced via their website that they have agreed a transfer fee with Benfica for Nicolas Gaitan. The Argentine is currently on duty with his national side at Copa America and will complete the signing when the competition has ended.

He was their talisman on the night and scored one and assisted another in a rare 2-1 defeat at the Calderon for Atletico.
The Argentine had been linked with moves away in previous season to teams such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal but Diego Simeone has used his linked with several of the current Argentina crop of players to convince the winger to join him in Madrid.
