2016 Champions League final: Projected lineups for Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid

The official team sheets will be released in less than an hour

Barring a dramatic, last-second injury, the starting XI of Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid are set. The teams will not be confirmed until an hour or so before kickoff, but based on reports in the Spanish press (i.e. the front page of today's Marca) this is what we have:

Atlético Madrid: Oblak; Juanfran, Savic, Godín, Filipe Luís; Saúl, Gabi, Augusto, Koke; Griezmann, Torres.

Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Bale, Benzema, Cristiano.

No great surprises for either side are expected. There had been some concern that Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't going to be fit, but those have apparently been put to rest.

Atleti will need to make a few omissions from the full squad Diego Simeone brought with him to Milan; our preview states there are four candidates who could be discarded before kickoff.

Also, we will have a match thread up and running soon, so do be sure you are a part of that.
