Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been occupying most of the headlines coming out of Paris in recent weeks but another forward at the club could be on the move too. Edinson Cavani has two years to run on his current contract with Paris Saint-Germain and could be looking for a different challenge with another European heavyweight.

Diego Godín told Cadena Cope that he has spoken to his Uruguayan teammate several times about the possibility of joining up with Diego Simeone at the Vicente Calderon.

"Yes, several times. He loves the club, he loves Atletico Madrid," he said.

"He loves the way we play because it's very similar to how we play with the national team and how we understand football in Uruguay."

Cavani scored 19 goals in 32 Ligue 1 appearances this season. He has never fully settled in Paris, however, following a 2013 move from Napoli. He has been linked with a move away to several top European clubs but it seems if Godin has his way, it will be Atletico Madrid that he will be joining.

The two players will have the entire Copa America to discuss the possibility of teaming up in Madrid with the help of Jose Gimenez to bend his ear even further.
