Antoine Griezmann has told Canal Plus that he is in the process of renewing his contract at Atletico Madrid and that he would reject Real Madrid even if it was Zinedine Zidane calling to enquire. Griezmann was speaking to Canal Football Club following a year at Atletico that has plenty of teams around Europe taking notice.
"I feel good at Atletico," Griezmann said.
"First of all he'd have to call. Then I'd respond because he's a great player and a great person all the same."
"But I feel good at Atletico. I'm in the process of seeing about renewing my contract and we're on the right track. So I hope we can finish it."
Griezmann's current deal expires in 2020 and there has been talk of an increase of his release clause to €80 million.
He has scored 32 goals in 53 games for Atletico and has enjoyed some memorable moments including his goal at the Allianz Arena that would put his side through to the final of the Champions League on the 28th of May.
A big summer at the Euros, which is expected, and Griezmann will have every elite team in Europe chasing his services and that €80 million figure touted might seem like a steal.
