As dress rehearsals go, Atletico's 5-1 victory over Real Betis was not the worst as they prepare for the biggest test of their season against Barcelona in the quarter-final of the Champions League. Fernando Torres, in particular, impressed and Diego Simeone confirmed that El Nino will start on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou.

Simeone told reporters after the game when asked about the possibility of Torres starting, "Yes, he will, I spoke with him before the match. He played 60 minutes against Betis to prepare for the match versus Barcelona."

Torres offers more physical presence than Luciano Vietto and will likely try to impose himself on Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano on the ground and aerially when the two sides clash at 7.45 on Tuesday night.

Diego Godín, who has missed the last two games due to an injury to his achilles tendon, returned to training on Monday and has been cleared to play on Tuesday night.

The same goes for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco who has muscled his way into contention in Simeone's squad having gotten off to a shaky start to life in Madrid.

Stefan Savic has also been cleared to play having missed eight of the last nine games with a hamstring issue followed by a calf problem.
