AS English did an excellent job of covering the event live and most of the quotes are there. Here are a select few, however.
Gabi spoke about wearing the new badge and said: "It's exciting to see the growth of this club. The fans should be very proud of the history and excited fro the future.
"It's an exciting day: we want to do everything to fill the new stadium and new badge with great memories for everyone.
Meanwhile, Atletico's Twitter account sent out a tweet showcasing the evolution of the club badge.

There will be plenty of debate of the stadium name, and the badge but my initial impression is that the new badge looks more modern, less rigid and has more "El Oso y El Madroño" than it has rojiblanco. I am no design expert, so take my analysis with a pinch of salt.
Also, the name was revelaed a few months ago so it doesn't come as THAT much of a surprise. The Metropolitano part is new though!
