Antoine Griezmann remains linked with a couple of different clubs and with Manchester United “confident” of signing him and PSG remaining intent on landing him, there will be a fight for his signature this summer, it seems.

Edinson Cavani has started a one man campaign to lure Antoine Griezmann to PSG. His first step in the process is to invite the French attacker to drink mate with him.

Griezmann is considered an honorary South American at Atletico Madrid given his tendency to drink the herbal tea and Cavani knows how to tempt the 25-year-old.

"It is the press who have said I invited him to drink mate with me [with the intention of luring him to Paris]," Cavani said via ESPNFC. "It is normal to invite someone to drink mate in Uruguay.”

"I would like to play with him one day," the 29-year-old continued. "I find him an excellent attacking talent and my teammates have told me that he is also an excellent guy."

Meanwhile, the usually well-connected Pilip de Brun says that Manchester United are willing to pay the release clause and are confident of signing the player.

Griezmann’s release clause is reportedly set at €100 million and it would be extremely difficult for Atletico to turn this down but they might want to keep their star player for their first year in their new stadium. That said, if the right offer comes in and Griezmann believes it is time to move, they can’t very well stop him either. This one will definitely earn its fair share of headline as the summer draws closer and it will be definitely worth keeping a close eye on.
