Beyond the public spats with fellow French footballers and adverts with very quick humans, Antoine Griezmann is a pretty good footballer.
Griezmann played four La Liga games in September and scored five goals. He landed two doubles, against Celta Vigo and Sporting Gijon, and also added an assist against Vigo too.
Atletico currently sit at La Liga’s summit with a game against Granada coming this weekend at the Vicente Calderon. Granada do not have a good record at the stadium and Diego Simeone will be looking to shift into another gear with Barcelona and Real Madrid sure to step up their own games after the international break.

Antoine Griezmann named #LaLigaSantander Player of the Month for September! pic.twitter.com/Jg801ZK78m
The 25-year-old might have a dodgy barnet in the photo but he is the top scorer in La Liga too with six goals in six games - he missed the first game of the season through suspension - and is poised for an even bigger year than he had last season.
He has also come into his own on the international scene and Atletico have quite the job to keep the Frenchman in Madrid next summer. This won’t be the last Player of the Month award he wins this season and you can bet on it.
