Into the Calderón seeks new writers

We don't have a big team, we don't have big rings...but we'd like to

We are on the prowl for new writers here at Into the Calderón, SB Nation's Atlético Madrid blog of record. We only got off the ground a few months ago, but we are ready to expand our operation to incorporate fresh writers.

We're not overly specific in what we're looking for; help with news stories, match reports, feature-length posts or social media are all desired and will be reviewed - and possibly accepted, depending on your qualifications.

What qualifications? See below:

1. You don't *have* to love Atlético Madrid...but we'd prefer if you did.

2. You have to possess a working knowledge of La Liga. It's not just the Big Three.

3. You have to be able to write. That's a pretty easy one. Spanish, English, doesn't matter - we can translate if needed. But we would like you to be able to clearly express yourself or what you're writing about.

4. Previous writing experience (a school newspaper, other SB Nation blogs, etc.) isn't necessarily required, but preferential treatment will be given to those who have it. If you submit a portfolio, it will be thoroughly reviewed, because why not.

If this sounds like you, send in a brief description of yourself etc. to jeremy.beren@gmail.com. I will respond in prompt fashion, and we will discuss as a staff if you are the right fit for us.

Good luck, and we very much look forward to hearing for you!
