Guilherme Siqueira is on his way out of Atletico Madrid, that much is for sure. Newcastle was understood to be his next destination but it appears as though Gary Neville is ready to swoop at the last minute to wrap up the services of the Brazilian.
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has located his wallet this winter and has been linked with relatively big money moves. He has already acquired the services of Jonjo Shelvey and Andros Townsend and looked set to land Guilherme Siqueira from Atletico Madrid.
News came via Guillem Balague, however, that Valencia and an unknown Turkish club had joined the race to sign the 29 year old left back. Siqueira will now take time to explore his options but with time running out Atletico will want him to make up his mind sooner rather than later.
Valencia and Turkish teams have approached Siqueira as he was close to agree a loan deal with Newcastle. He will now take time to decide— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) January 30, 2016
Siquiera was signed in the summer of 2014 as a replacement for Filipe Luis but has had limited opportunities this year. He has only featured in seven games with his last La Liga appearance coming at the end of last September.
