Atletico Madrid are rumoured to be willing to let Lucas Hernandez or Guilherme Siquiera leave in the current transfer window according to Cadena Ser journalist, Hugo Condos. He also believes Thomas Partey, Oliver Torres or Saul Niguez leaving is something that will not happen.

Lucas Hernandez had an excellent preseason but has failed to make an impact on Diego Simeone's squad in La Liga. He has featured twice in the Copa del Rey in the previous round against Deportiu Reus but did not play in the recent clash with Rayo Vallecano. The 19-year-old French central and left defender has potential to become a world class player and it would be surprising if Atletico let him leave on a permanent deal. He has been at the club since he was eleven and has a contract until 2019 with the club.

Guilherme Siqueira, at 29 years of age, and having only featured seven times for Atletico this season is the most likely candidate to leave this January. His latest contribution against Rayo Vallecano was poor and there seems to be no respite from the bench for the Brazilian left-back. Filipe Luis has cemented himself as Atletico's left-back and barring injury, things will remain that way.

The good news from this piece is that Atletico Madrid are not moving Thomas, Oliver or Saul. Speculation has been mounting regarding the

midfielders' futures but to hear that Atletico are keen to keep them is refreshing. It is indicative of how well the squad have played since Tiago Mendes' injury in late November. Thomas, believed to be too young to have an impact, has stepped up admirably and is a bundle of energy in Atletico's midfield. Saul has clubs like Manchester United knocking on the door and is coming good on the potential he has shown since he was younger. Oliver started the season well but is finding it more difficult to really inflict his presence on the squad, but remains on the cusp of breaking into the XI.

There will be more speculation, given the fact that it's silly season, but as long as the three youngsters mentioned are staying, that's good enough for us!
