It seems, based on recent speculation, that Atletico will most certainly bring a defensive midfielder in to replace the fallen Tiago Mendes. Reports emerged recently Atletico had an interest in Pedro Mosquera and yesterday, AS said Atletico have made a bid for Celta Vigo's Augusto Fernandez.
In the report, AS state that Atletico have no interest in getting involved in a war over the club's captain due to the fact that the clubs currently have good relations together.
